The Dharma of Healthy Attachment Group Coaching
Secure attachment results from “good enough” care taking, which is defined as an adult caretaker who is present, safe, protective, reliable, emotionally attuned and responsive – enough of the time. If we had the good fortune of having this kind of caretaking as children we develop a sense of safety and trust in ourselves and in the world.
And what does secure attachment have to do with meditation and dharma?
The qualities of good enough caretaking are very much what we develop in our meditation practice through mindfulness and compassion practices. Moreover, it is only when we build our capacity to connect and love, by establishing “healthy attachment” with all parts of ourselves, with others and the world, that we can let go and trust enough to realize the awakening promised by Buddhist meditation.
It is not by ignoring our psychological patterns but by directing our curious, loving attention toward them that we find our freedom.
Through discussion, meditation practices and individual coaching, we will work together towards greater security to support the deepening of our meditation practice – and greater well being in the rest of our lives and relationships.
This program is designed for individuals with a regular meditation practice interested in exploring attachment patterns through contemplative approaches. The teachings are rooted in Dr. Dan Brown’s 3 Pillar Protocol and other Buddhist techniques.

Individual Coaching
1:1 Contemplative Attachment Coaching
Initial Assessment: Ideally, your journey begins with the completion of the Adult Attachment Projective alongside Carol George. This involves a comprehensive assessment process, including a 30-minute interview assessing unconscious attachment and trauma patterns.
3 Pillar Approach: Based on the assessment, our coaching sessions will be centered around the 3 Pillar Approach by Dan Brown et al. This includes:
- Ideal Parent work
- Increasing Metacognition
- Collaboration skills building
Although I tend to emphasize these in that order, our work together is fluid and integrates these pillars as we progress. This journey is supported by a curated folder of meditation recordings, including sessions from myself and other teachers. I encourage regular engagement with these recordings between our sessions.
Guided Meditations: I will record our Ideal Parent meditations during our sessions, and you are encouraged to listen to them at least once between our meetings.
Commitment and Duration: I request a commitment to at least five 55-minute sessions, meeting at least bi-weekly. Depending on your starting point, achieving greater ease, self-confidence, and well-being in relationships typically requires 3 months to a year of collaborative work.
Financial Considerations: I operate on a sliding scale of $150-$300 per session, based on your self-assessed financial capacity.
Meditation Coaching
Explore a diverse range of interpersonal dialogue and inquiry focused on contemplative practices and their integration into all aspects of your life, work, and relationships. Sessions provide tailored recommendations for meditation practices based on your current interests, challenges, and motivations for practice.
Rooted in Experience: My coaching is grounded in over 30 years of intensive Buddhist meditation practice, primarily within the Insight tradition and Tibetan lineages. Drawing upon insights gained from my personal healing journey, I incorporate training in psychological approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and the Attachment healing protocol of Dr. Dan Brown, et al.
Session Availability: Currently, my individual coaching sessions are at full capacity. However, you can join the waitlist by filling in the form below.
